  1. DEA National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

    April 26, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Montgomery Police Department Lobby

    This one-day effort is intended to bring national focus to the increasing issue of pharmaceutical controlled substance abuse. • The program is free & anonymous • Prescription and over the counter solid dosage medications, i.e. tablets and capsules accepted • Intra-venous solutions, injectables, and needles will NOT be accepted • Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine are NOT a part of this initiative. The Montgomery Police Department is a collection site for this drug take back initiative and will be participating in the even on April 26, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm only.

  5. Shredding and Recycling Event

    On this day only, shredding will be available at the recycling event. Paper shredding will be limited to two banker-type boxes of documents per vehicle; staples are fine, but please remove any binder clips and rubber bands. Drop off items for recycling! Items accepted are electronics of all types (includes anything that plugs in), metal, and batteries of all types. In addition, a textile recycler will offer collection of textiles of all types--clothing, anything made of fabric, towels, shoes, leather goods, etc. Not accepted: tires, lightbulbs and paint.

  8. Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

    The Montgomery Police Department Lobby is a collection site for this drug take back initiative and will be participating in the event on April 26, 2014 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm only. On April 26th the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) will coordinate a collaborative effort with state and local law enforcement agencies to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from our nation's medicine cabinets. The National Take-Back Day provides an opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for destruction. These drugs are a potential source of supply for illegal drug use and an unacceptable risk to public health and safety from accidental poisonings and groundwater contamination.
