meetings are open to the public. Meetings are generally held
at 7:30 a.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Village

Development
Committee Duties
The
Development Committee considers and makes recommendations to
the Village Board regarding:
1.
Development. The Committee makes recommendations to the Village
Board that encourage and guide development and redevelopment
in the community, but does not intrude upon the duties and responsibilities
of the Plan Commission or Zoning Board of Appeals.
2.
Resources. The Committee reviews related resources, plans, grant
applications and proposals, and other materials pertaining to
community betterment and development.
3.
Downtown Redevelopment. The Committee has the responsibility
to study and recommend appropriate action concerning the redevelopment
of the downtown area, including adaptive building reuse and
the preservation of buildings of historic and architectural
significance.
4.
Tax Increment Financing Districts. The Committee acts as a conduit
and coordinating body for the Tax Increment Financing District(s)
of the Village.
5.
Other Matters. The Committee considers other matters that are
specifically referred to it by the Village Board.
