All
meetings are open to the public. Meetings are generally held
at 6:15 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Village
Hall, immediately following the Board of Local Improvements

Finance
Committee Duties
The
Finance Committee reviews, evaluates and makes recommendations
to the Village Board on matters pertaining to the financial
operation and financial reporting of the Village regarding the
following:
1.
Monitoring of Fiscal Position. The Committee compares budgeted
and actual revenues and expenditures, investigates significant
variances, and investigates alternative or additional sources
of revenue.
2.
Review of the Annual Budget. The Committee reviews the annual
budget prior to its adoption by the corporate authorities.
3.
Audit Procedures. The Committee reviews the annual audit and
accompanying management letter.
4.
Water and Sewer Service. The Committee reviews the costs necessary
to provide water and sewer service, and reviews the water and
sewer rates to determine whether the rates are sufficient to
cover all associated costs.
5.
Other Matters. The Committee considers matters that are specifically
referred to it by the corporate authorities.
