Welcome
to the Village of Montgomery! This
is an exciting time to be involved in our vibrant and growing
community.
Highlights
and accomplishments of the Village during the past year include:
- Completed construction of a new Village Hall at 200 N. River Street in the historic downtown area of Montgomery.
- Annexed
land at the corner of Route 30 and 34 and approved construction
of a 500,000+ sq. ft. shopping center at that location.
- Established
a Historic Preservation Commission.
- Secured
and donated land to the Oswego Fire Protection District near
Orchard and Galena, on which the Fire Protection District
has constructed a new fire station.
- Initiated
a Beautification Committee and participated in the America
in Bloom program.
- Conducted
monthly "Coffee with the Mayor" meetings.
- Completed
construction of a new Police Department facility on Route
30 west of Orchard Road.
- Approved
a number of Annexation Agreements covering residential, commercial
and industrial developments.
- Updated
the Village's Transportation and Access Plan.
- Hosted
an annual Open House for residents at the Village Hall.
