Street
and Alley Patching
Throughout
the year, and particularly during winter, potholes can develop
in the roadway pavement, causing difficult driving conditions
for motorists. The Public Works staff actively and regularly
patrols the community to find and patch potholes as part of
the Village's effort to maintain quality roadways. The staff
also performs pavement patching in those areas damaged by water
main repair efforts. Even with our regular repair program, however,
some deteriorated pavement and pothole locations may go undetected.
If you are aware of any such areas, please report them to Public
Works at 630-896-9241.
Many
of the roadways within the Village are owned and maintained
by a different government entity. For examples, Orchard Road
and Montgomery Road are county roads, while Routes 25, 31 and
30 are State highways. Areas in need of repair on these roads
may be reported to the county or State, or may be reported to
the Public Works Department, who will work to coordinate repairs
as needed.
